You can get caregiving support if you are caring for a vulnerable adult or child.

This includes:

  • You are caring for a relative or friend. They are age 60 and older have Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
  • You are caring for a child under the age of 18. You are age 55 and older. You are their grandparent or a related caregiver, but not a parent.
  • You are caring for a disabled adult, age 19 to 59. You are age 55 and older.

Referrals to services and support are provided by community-based organizations.

Caregiving support includes:

  • Care supplies
  • Counseling
  • Help with applying for benefits and entitlements
  • Information
  • In-home care
  • Overnight care
  • Support Groups
  • Training
