You can file a complaint about a funeral home.

Funeral establishments in New York City must give customers an itemized list of merchandise and services available. You can file a complaint about businesses that fail to provide this information.

Other complaint types include:

  • False or misleading advertising
  • Goods or services not delivered
  • High-pressure sales tactics
  • Lost or stolen property
  • Overcharge
  • Refund, return, or exchange issues

If you include your address, DCWP will mail you a complaint form. You must complete and return it to DCWP. If you provide your email address, you'll get the form by email instead. Check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox.
