Local Law 97

Local Law 97 (LL97) is part of the City’s plan to reduce these emissions and make NYC carbon neutral by 2050.

NYC Accelerator contributes to the City's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Nearly 70% of New York City’s carbon emissions come from the fossil fuels used to heat, cool, and power our buildings.

NYC Accelerator offers free assistance with energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades, helps buildings cut their emissions and energy costs, comply with LL97 on time, and avoid annual fines.

Investing in energy efficiency measures from the outset will increase property value and prevent fines associated with local energy laws, like Local Law 154 – which requires all new buildings to be electric. Buildings that are compliant are likely to be more attractive to prospective buyers.

NYC Accelerator offers expert knowledge about local energy laws and electrification strategies for buildings. You can learn about compliance requirements and plan for long-term energy efficiency in projects with personalized technical assistance and training.
