Call 911
Call 911 if there is an emergency.

When the Mayor issues an evacuation order for all or parts of New York City, people with access or functional needs can request transportation assistance from the City, if they have no other way to evacuate safely.

You can find out whether you are in a hurricane evacuation zone and what to do. Most forms of accessible transportation will be available to help you evacuate. However, many transportation providers, including public transportation such as MTA subways and buses and Access-a-Ride services, may shut down hours before the storm.

Depending on your need, you will be taken to an evacuation center or a hospital outside of the evacuation zone. The City will not transport you to a private address.

Call 311 or 212-NEW-YORK (212-639-9675) for help.
