A Construction Labor Provider assigns workers to do construction or manual labor on worksites. It is also known as a “body shop” or temp agency.

If you work for a Construction Labor Provider, you have rights. Your immigration status or arrest record doesn’t matter.

In New York City, a Construction Labor Provider must:

  • Give you required notices in English and in your primary language for you to sign:
    • Notice of Certification

    • Notice of Assignment

File a Complaint

You can report a Construction Labor Provider for:

  • Operating without a license
  • Not giving you required notices
  • Not giving you complete or written notices
  • Not giving you written notices in your primary language
