SNAP (food stamps) recipients can receive healthy foods through various nutrition programs.

Get the Good Stuff is a program at certain NYC supermarkets. For every dollar you spend using SNAP on eligible fruits, vegetables, and beans, you get a dollar for your next purchase of eligible foods.

Participants can earn up to $10 in incentives on their Get the Good Stuff card per day.

Eligible foods include:

  • Fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs
  • Frozen fruits, vegetables, and beans without added sugar, salt, or fat
  • Canned and jarred fruits, vegetables, beans, and lentils without added sugar, salt, or fat
  • Dried beans, lentils, fruits and vegetables without added sugar, salt, or fat

Community and Faith-Based Organizations

Organizations can receive free Health Bucks to distribute to community members as an incentive to participate in nutrition education and other health-related activities.

The 2025 application for free Health Bucks will be available in Spring 2025.

For questions, or if an organization would like to purchase Health Bucks coupons, email farmersmarkets@health.nyc.gov for more information.

The Half Off Farm Box program is now part of the Campaign Against Hunger, a nonprofit organization.

If you receive SNAP, you can get pre-assembled boxes of fresh produce for half the price. Each box typically has 6 to 10 items of fresh, locally grown, high-quality produce.

You must order your box one week in advance.

How it works:

  • Preorder your box one week in advance online at www.tcahnyc.org/farmbox.
  • A program coordinator will contact you to schedule a time to pick up your order.
  • Return the following week to the Super Pantry to pick up your box and pay for it using your EBT card.

The Super Pantry is located at 2004 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11233.
